The big news coming out of London today was that EMI, one of the world's largest recording labels, has decided to offer their
music through Apple's
Itunes without digital rights management (DRM) restrictions.
For those unfamiliar with
DRM, it's the protective mechanism that's encoded into each music track bought through Itunes that restricts how many times you can use that particular track. According to EMI, "84 per cent of its customers disliked it imposing controls on what they could do with their music."
DUH!
