Bully Online. A short definition of cyber bullying is when someone posts hostile or "flame" messages either through a forum or by email directed at another person or group. The boldness of these cyber bullies stems from the fact the internet provides a layer of anonymity with which they hide behind.
Bullies are nothing new. They've been around since the early centuries when nations would conquer smaller ones by using their more powerful armies to overrun the weaker ones. But that is physical bullying. Cyber bullying uses words to carry out the abuse. And no one is more guilty of this kind of verbal abuse than on-air personalities who are affectionately referred to as shock jocks.
