Now that's a name that hasn't been heard from in a long, long time.
Now in case you go think they're a bunch of ornery roller derby athletes, they're quite the opposite. This group of totally likeable musicians led by Alan Longmuir were extremely popular in the early 70's with such radio hits like Shang-a-Lang, I Only Want To Be With You and the catchy Saturday Night, which was a number one song in 1976. You might even equate them as an early 70's version of 'N Sync--popular with teenage girls especially in Great Britain.
So why are we in a "blast from the past" mood? Well, the Rollers were in most entertainment news sections these past few days after they sued their record label for withholding royalty payments from them for more than 25 years. Any news about record companies being sued deserves some attention.
